Happy 4th of July

Cape Porpoise, Maine

Wishing a very Happy 4th of July to each of you!  

We are so blessed to live in this amazing country, to be free, and to be who we want to be! For the last few years I have enjoyed reading the Declaration of Independence - where else are we guaranteed life, liberty and the pursuit of Happiness?


"When in the Course of human events . . . all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights . . . for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor."

If you are in hurricane Arthur's path keep safe. We are expected to feel the brunt of the storm in Maine tomorrow.  The BBQ & fireworks have been postponed until July 5th!  We can roll with it!

  3. I love Cape Porpoise. Can't wait to get back there with my camera off season.

    We got the fireworks in just 15 minutes before the skies opened up with a horrible squall of thunder ,lightening, wind and sideways rain.

    Enjoy!

    1. My pleasure! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Listen to me, like I wrote it! LOL!!! I am very thankful to our forefathers, especially Thomas Jefferson for authoring this amazing document. From what I understand no other country "happiness" in their constitution! Pretty amazing when you think of it.

    1. Hi Karen, boy did it rain in Maine! Looks like the rest of the weekend will be great! The grill will be fired up later today & the food and beverages will be flowing! I love the 4th of July, it's about family, friends, food & no gifts! LOL!! Enjoy your belated 4th!
