Yes, it would make me smile too. I love the look of the wispy pine branches and pine cones. Maybe next year when can snowshoe together and find lots of other beautiful photo ops.
Beautiful photograph! It's been a tough winter for many and before you know it spring will be here:) I think the seasonal changes, despite the extremes at times, is important to our mental well-being (trying to stay positive in the midst of a cold, grey winter!)
Good for you. After this brutal winter, it's hard to find anything to make one smile and you did! I have my fingers crossed for an early spring for you. Sam
I guess it's just a matter of attitude, right? You can either embrace Winter in New England or be miserable. I see that you are embracing it and it looks lovely.
There is always beauty out there for us to discover, if only we keep our eyes, minds and hearts open to it :-)

ReplyDeleteSweet pine cones!
ReplyDeleteIt really does make you feel better to get out and walk. Being shut in with all the cold and snow gets old.

We are not alone, are we?! I have so many readers openly hostile to snow that I am now giving "snow" warnings. =D
ReplyDeleteLove your very artsy white pine cone and tassle...I think...oh no, I do love it, I'm just not 100% certain of its ID.

Beautiful! I love the way snow clings to pine needles.
ReplyDeleteOh, those little guys are hanging on! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,

Winter has gotten old very quickly, hasn't it?
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Mary! Spring is on its way!
