Pie heaven here, Mary! Since I'm from Louisville, I love Derby pie, but that grasshopper pie sounds delicious too! We have the usual here, 3 pies on Thanksgiving to keep everyone happy, pecan, cherry and pumpkin, the same every year. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
One of each pictured will do nicely, please!:-) The very first Thanksgiving I hosted was from the first apartment I had a year after my college graduation. Back in the Dark Ages, there had been no scare about using raw eggs in what we made, so I made a Pumpkin Chiffon Pie, my favorite then, and it remained so - until all the bad news about consuming raw eggs.:-( Well, now I've bought pasteurized eggs at the grocery, and I will try that pie again this year! Can hardly wait!
They all look fantastic, and I bet they smell and taste even better! My favourite would probably be the first one. I've never heard the term "chiffon" applied to something to eat - I only know it as a certain type of fabric.
Oh my! Are you baking all of those? I am making pecan, apple, and chocolate cream. My son is baking pumpkin pie and John is buying the pie of his choice from the library sale. (Hope it's blueberry, but I think it will be mincemeat.) Have a Happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
My favorite pie is whatever is home made and being offered! At one time I was known as the pie lady at community suppers. Haven't made a pie in a long while.

ReplyDeleteI'd have a hard time deciding which of your pies to try first. I think I would have to say that pecan pie is my favorite.
