Yes, we've had some snow - over 111 inches of it! I have NEVER seen so much snow in my life! I surrender to New England winter of 2015!
View from my Massachusetts bedroom window! Pretty isn't it? I'm sick of looking at it!
Can you figure out where the stairs to the bandstand are?
AMassachusetts neighbors home! Look at that ice!
Snow at our cottage
Ice on the rocks
Like you say, it's beautiful - but I'd be sick and tired of it very quickly, too, if I lived there and it was already the end of February...
ReplyDeleteI guess it doesn't help if I tell you that we are having the most gorgeous SUNday today!
Wow! Scary and beautiful. Stay safe x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty to look at, but I understand why you're tired of it. Too much is too much.

You're not really crying "uncle" are you? Gosh you poor folks in Massachusetts have had it terribly rough. We're clearing out another five inches today, but that's nothing. I think it is the ongoing onslaught that does a person in. Hang in there, for, as you know, this, too, shall pass. Beautiful pic from your treehouse and neighborhood. If those snowbanks get any higher at the cottage, you won't be able to see it.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! We don't have as much snow this year as usual but we have broken other records...more than 30 days where the temp never got above ZERO! Where's that darn global warming when you need it? lol I am counting down til May-when we actually see Spring here. xo Diana
ReplyDeletewow...you got all of our snow! can you send some back?
ReplyDeleteThe view out the window is indeed pretty but I can imagine how it could be wearing very thin by now.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a hard winter for sure. while we do not have as much snow as you do in both places we have more than our share with more last night. Spring can not come soon enough for me because it hasn't been just the snow it is has been awful cold.
ReplyDeleteIt is funny I checked your blog last night to see if you had posted and I missed it.

"Fifty Shades of White" really does get old after awhile--I hope that changes soon for you!!
ReplyDeleteI love winter and all her surprises, but there is always a time when the most favored guest has worn out her welcome. I do wish you blue skies and sunny days soon..
ReplyDeleteLOL! Just THINK what mud season will be like !!!! I plan to shop and fill my pantry so that my muddy dirt road can just slowly dry up and I'vetold Silent Bob to make sure the cellar's sump pump is in good order. Otherwise, we'll float right down off our side of the mountain when the thaw sets in!
ReplyDeleteWe have quite a bit of snow for our area, but still not as much as you. However, I am so over winter!!
ReplyDeleteHello! Was happy to see your post. Can you BELIEVE the winter we have had in Massachusetts? It has been one humdinger and it's not over til it's over. ha! Hope you weather the rest of the season well. Susan
ReplyDeleteWe are in the same mess in NS. So sick of it!
ReplyDeleteWe've only had one real snow this year, so I can't really complain. I can't imagine having as much as you've had though! The thought of shoveling that much snow just boggles my mind! Just keep in mind that spring really is on the way. It was in the 40s here today and the snow we had last week started melting. I smelled dirt and it was nice. :)
ReplyDeleteI've given up too…not counting inches or snowstorms anymore. I'm worried like Susan, what in the world will it look like when all this snow starts to melt. Hopefully we will get a gentle warm up so that the water has a chance to go somewhere besides our homes.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you Mary. I have to inch out of my driveway, inch out of my street and then try to find a parking spot at school. The amount of snow and snow banks have shrunk the parking lot. Bring on Spring. EX- snow lover!
ReplyDeleteWe managed to drive the only 3 clear of ice and/or snow storms from Florida to Maine several days ago........ yes indeed why I'm asking myself also !! In a word .......family........ says it all !! And new grand arriving in 2 weeks..... I guess you would call her part of the family thing!! Think SPRING!!--Rain
ReplyDeleteOH.. do I KNOW the Snow Woe. *sigh. And it's snowing right now.
ReplyDeleteOur views are basically the same, just different houses. It's an effort to do anything and to drive around the corner with the snow banks sky high. More on the way tonight! Take care and stay warm, Mary!
ReplyDeleteIncredible!! I've seen on the news where that part of the country has gotten slammed by winter, but it is one thing to hear of it, and quite another to see it. I think surrendering is all one could do!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had too much snow here in Utah...except for the past few days.
I just keep looking at the calendar, and I know Spring is on it's way :)
Have a happy day!!

I had to re-read the your comment about 111 inches of snow. My gosh, that is way too much. Love all the pictures, I sure hope winter breaks for you soon. We in the Pacific Northwest are having the opposite weather, strange record highs. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteHugs Diane
It's so beautiful when everything outsite is covered with white, but 111 inch of snow is A LOT of snow.
