An Old Orchard Beach Evening

There's something mysterious about Old Orchard Beach (OOB) in the evening, she takes on a whole different persona.  I love a good mystery.  Don't you?

She was THE vacation resort in the 1800's.  It's where President Kennedy's parents, Rose and Joe fell in love in 1907.

There are 7 miles of gorgeous sandy beach and I thought I'd share it with you!

This view is a 7 minute walk from our cottage.

When we walk down Old Orchard Street, this is what we see.

I love all the "party" lights in this photo!

We can hear all the screams of excitement in the evening as they waft up the hill.

Swimsuit styles have changed too!  LOL!!!

More on OOB to come!

  2. Very pretty at night! Really? Joe and Rose, eh? 1907... I doubt that he fell too far, but am quite certain that she fell deeply in love. Is it noisy where you are or can it be tuned out?

    1. Hi Vee, it's true, Joe & Rose. It's not noisy at all, We are at the top of the hill, and it's actually very quiet, it's only at night when we're sitting around the fire pit that you can hear the screams of excitement!

  4. Hi there, This looks like a wonderful, fun place to play. Reminds me of Santa Cruz in Ca. An old amusement park on the ocean-such fun.
Thanks for sharing; enjoy your time there.

  10. It's fascinating, isn't it, how a place can completely change atmosphere with a different time of day (or night) or in a different season. Great pictures - not easy to get good night-time photos!
